NOTICE OF VACANCY: Compliance Division Intern

Duties: Compliance Division Interns are responsible for moderately complex technical
duties and data management tasks associated with water and wastewater monitoring and
reporting, laboratory operations, special projects, and processes quality assurance.
PAY: $12.00 / HOUR for undergraduate students
$16.00 / HOUR for graduate students
WORK LOCATION: Southside Water Reclamation Plant
4201 2nd Street SW
Albuquerque, NM 87105
WORK SCHEDULE: During school sessions: 20 hours/week
Summer and Winter break sessions: 39 hours/week
Requirements:
 Junior status majoring in Science, Engineering or Mathematics; graduate students will
be considered
 Minimum GPA 3.0
 Must maintain full-time enrollment
 Minimum of two semesters chemistry
Skills and Abilities
 Must be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently
 Knowledge of PCs: Word and Excel a must; database experience desirable
 Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
 Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present scientific data and information
 Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver’s License
 Ability to work in an office, laboratory and/or a variety of field environments
 Laboratory experience valuable
 Water/Wastewater treatment technology, microbiology and chemistry
coursework valuable
 Statistics a plus
